I am cherished.
I waited most of my life to feel it. And now I’m blessed with a man who cherishes me so deeply that I often cannot grasp it or even let it soak in. I don’t know how.
I know I am cherished by the sweet nothings that slip into my ear at unexpected moments. I know I’m cherished by the dedication to his family, to me, to God.
I know I am cherished because he cherishes God first and always.
Two other little beings cherish me- Small Son and Tiny Daughter.
Small Son- not a cuddler, but a quiet smiler. He gives me that “look” that says “I cherish you.” He steals a quick hug after a snack, and wants me to tuck him in. When we sneak him into our bed, he snuggles closer to me.
Tiny Daughter- definitely a cuddly little girl. She can’t get enough of hugs and kisses, and stops her play throughout the day to soak more of them in. I know I am cherished when Sally and Mrs. Chicken are tossed aside in favour of sleeping with Mommy’s robe. I go in to kiss her and she’s in a ball, her arms wrapped around the robe, also in a ball.
I know I am cherished by my Father.
He cherished me, His creation, from eternity past, and it will never end.
I cannot understand this cherishing.
We are all born cherished. But we have to learn, believe that no matter what earth brings, we are cherished by Heaven.

Thank you. 🙂 The “no editing” part of FMF is a bit scary, but so far I’m enjoying doing it!
Beautiful, Leah! The expression on your kids faces in the photo (especially your little girl) are priceless! What a blessing to have family to cherish and be cherished…an expression of how God cherishes us, yes. Hope you’re doing well, friend! Thanks for checking up on me! 🙂
Yes, I am very blessed! God’s cherishing is another one of those things that stays ‘just our of our reach’ of full understanding. Perhaps that is what keeps us in awe. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Just cant get enough of your “Five minutes Friday”
It’s so simple and yet so precise in expressing your thoughts.
Love anything to do with your small son and tiny daughter.
They are precious to say the least. I know they are cherished
by their parents, and I know they cherish their parents.
And we CHERISH our friendship with you and your lovely family.
We cherish your family too! Looking forward to your visit in a few weeks. The kids talk about it every day. 🙂
