31 Days of Prayer for Your Pastor Husband, 31 Days of Praying for Your Pastor

{Day 15}: Student of the Word

31DaysofPraying4YourPastor

Key Word/Phrase: Student of the Word

Key Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:15-16

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Prayer Guide for Church Members:

“God, make my pastor a diligent student of Your Word. Guide his mind as he reads Scripture. Give him clarity and illumination through Your Holy Spirit. Give him physical stamina during his hours of study. Let him first be a man who sits at Your feet just for the love of You and Your Word. Give him a passion to read, meditate, and memorize Your precious words. Let his sermon preparation and delivery be the outflow of what You are doing in his heart. Teach him how to rightly divide your Word. Help him avoid false doctrine and worldly philosophies that will lead him astray. Mold his character so it reflects that he is a student of Your Word. Compel him to not just study for sermon preparation, but to faithfully live what he learns in his studies. Make him a Godly man who esteems Your Word above anything else in his life. God, make my pastor a diligent student of Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
