31 Days of Praying for Your Pastor, 31 Days of Praying for Your Pastor Husband

{Day 26}: Love for People

31DaysofPraying4YourPastor

Key Phrase: Love for People

Key Scripture: 1 John 4:7, John 13:34

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Prayer Guide for Church Members:

“God, give my pastor a deep and genuine love for people. This is the essence of a pastor’s heart- that he nurtures Your people as his own. Compel him to minister with a passionate, caring heart of concern for his flock. Keep him from leading from a place of selfishness; instead give him grace to be sacrificial and sincere. Let his words and actions flow out of a heart that truly cares for his people. As my pastor leads by the example of Your love, help us as a church body to love each other in a way that reflects Your love for us.  And beyond our own church doors, give my pastor opportunities within the community and even the world, to show Your love to believers and unbelievers alike. God, give my pastor a deep and genuine love for people. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
