A question comes from a tiny voice.
“Mommy, will you stay and watch it with us?”
Question comes from Small Son.
Answer comes from mom- yes, or no?
It’s Little Bear. Again. And again.
He’s doing the same thing he was doing yesterday on the same video.
Little Bear calls. Laundry calls. Dishes call. Piano practice calls. Cooking calls. Cleaning calls. Homeschooling calls.
Phone calls.
Small Son calls.
It’s his favourite video.
To him, it’s brand new, and just as exciting as it was yesterday.
It’s beneath me. Beneath my chores, and my mindset of what a mother should accomplish in one day’s time.
Mom has a choice- should she stay, should she go?
Mom chooses stay. The chores will stay.
The moment with Small Son will not stay.
We watch Little Bear. Again.
Small Son’s world is complete.

Oh yes!! I have had many of these moments! 🙂 It can be so hard to stay sometimes. I linked up next to you at 5MF. Blessings!
Thanks for stopping by! I’m new to 5MF, but enjoying it already!
This post was great. so great. Why is this so hard for us? I guess for me, I feel like if I do that, then when hubby comes home and the house is a wreck then. well. i have failed. I guess we just need to get that out of our heads don’t we.
I loved this post.
PS how do you get those scrolling inserts in the middle of your posts? is that a plugin?
I know what you mean. But I’ve learned that my husband would rather find the house a mess and have a happy wife and children than to find a perfect house and everyone being grumpy! lol! Sometimes I start to apologize for the house, and he’s like “I don’t care. How was your day?” Makes me feel better!
About the inserts, they are quotes, and I think it comes with my theme. Not a plugin. It’s up in my little toolbar when I’m writing a post. I block it and hit the quote button, then center it however I want it to be. Hope that helps.
I don’t think we ever regret choosing relationship over chores, ever!
Great perspective! 🙂
