The Hope For Pastors’ Wives ministry is a faith based organization that operates solely on the generous gifts of people who share our burden for encouraging pastors’ wives. Over the past 9 years that we have been in existence, and particularly in the past 3 years of hosting pastors’ wives retreats, we have seen God provide in astounding ways through gifts both large and small. We can assure you that every dollar you donate will be used for the practical encouragement of pastors’ wives around the world. Here are a few specific areas of ministry which need funding:
- Retreat expenses (this includes venue fees, speaker travel and gratuity, books and giveaway items for our attendees (we love to spoil our pastors’ wives!) Other retreat expenses include food and various supplies that help us pay attention to detail and create an atmosphere of true refreshment for our attendees. We also have pastors’ wives each year who cannot afford to come to our retreat, but who desperately need to come. Donated funds to sponsor a pastor’s wife are always deeply appreciated.
- Website maintenance and email subscription fees (some costs are annual, others are monthly.) Our website allows us to blog encouragement to thousands of pastors’ wives around the world, keep them informed of pastoral refreshment opportunities, and provide a platform for retreat information and registration.
- Books and resources. One of our favorite things to do at HFPW is to put good books and ministry resources into the hands of pastors and wives. We do this “to the max” at our retreats (in the past our attendees have gone home with over 20 brand new books!) but we also do this from time to time during the year through the mail. We would love to be able to increase our giving of books and resources and expand this part of our ministry in a more established and regular way.
