Our Tiny Daughter recently got saved on January 5th, 2014. A few days after this most happy occasion, she asked me one morning, “Mommy, can we have a ‘got saved’ party?” I thought it was a brilliant idea, and it turned out to be one of the most special and memorable parties we’ve ever had. I knew you would want me to share the recipe:
Take one girl, freshly saved…
Add cupcakes and pink lemonade…
Mix in the loving father who led her to the Lord, and the brother who prayed hard for her salvation…
Add a hug from the deeply blessed mother…
And relish in the celebration of joy!
Please congratulate your daughter from Macon, GA for me 🙂 I am thrilled to have a new sister in Christ! I do not have children of my own but I invest in the lives of our church children. When they get saved, I put it on my google calendar and send them a happy birthday card for their spiritual birthday for the first few years. We make much of physical birthdays so why not make spiritual birthdays special as well each year! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Terri! I will pass along your sweet comments. 🙂 That is a great idea about sending your church kids a card on their spiritual birthday!
What a blessing!! What a fantastic idea too! That is a precious moment. So glad for all of you!
It was precious! 🙂
