Conference Information and FAQs


The Heart-to-Heart Conference is an event specifically designed for the refreshment and encouragement of pastors’ wives.

We have been blessed with the use of a gorgeous venue! Come join an intimate gathering of pastors’ wives at the Wilds Christian Camp and Conference Center in Brevard, NC.  Included in your registration cost are all sessions {including break-outs and panel discussions}, 3 nights of comfortable accommodations, 8 delicious meals, and all sessions and activities. The Wilds has a beautiful and extensive property that offers hiking trails, waterfalls, zip lines and other outdoor activities, a gift shop/bookstore, a coffee shop, and much more!

Who can attend the Heart-to-Heart Conference?

We welcome female spouses of male pastors to attend this conference.  The ministries of the Wilds and Hope For Pastors’ Wives maintain a complementarian position, and believe that the pastor’s wife is a supporter of her husband and his ministry. (1 Timothy 3:2-7, 1 Timothy 2:12, Titus 1:6)  We welcome wives of senior pastors, assistant/associate pastors, youth pastors, music pastors, missions pastors, care pastors, etc. If you are the wife of a staff pastor, you are welcome to attend.

We also welcome pastors’ wives whose husbands have recently resigned, are on a sabbatical, are in transition, and/or are anticipating a move to a new ministry. We recognize that pastors’ wives need encouragement and hope just as much in between ministries as they do while their husbands are actively pastoring.

Can I register now and pay later?

No. You must pay the full cost of the conference at the time of registration, or your registration will not be considered valid. Once you have submitted your registration, continue on to complete the payment phase. You will receive confirmation emails for both your registration {from my website} and the actual payment transaction {from PayPal.}

Do I need to bring my ticket with me to the conference for check-in?

No. We will have full records of your registration. All you need to do is show up and give us your name!

Is my registration refundable?

Registration is non-refundable, but it may be transferred to another pastor’s wife. To request a name transfer from an already purchased ticket, send an email to Please include your full name, address, and phone number AS WELL AS the full name, address, and phone number of the person you would like your ticket transferred to. Please allow 1-2 weeks for confirmation of your ticket transfer.

What kind of accommodations can I expect?

We will be staying in the Freemont Inn and the Lodge, which offer pleasant hotel-style rooms. The inn is a three-story building next to the Lakeside Center and 150 yards from the main Lodge. Most rooms are furnished with a queen-size bed and one set of bunk beds. Private bath. All linens and towels provided.

Rates are based on double occupancy (two people per room.) However, you may choose to have more than two per room OR a private room (for an extra fee) when you register.

How do I find a roommate, find a carpool,  and get my other questions answered?

When you register, you may specify the name of another pastor’s wife with whom you would like to room. We will do our best to honor the rooming requests! Don’t know anyone else who is attending? Once you’ve registered and paid, please join our 2022 Pastors’ Wives Retreat Attendees group. There you can find a roommate, get your questions answered, and get to know the other conference attendees ahead of time!

I have special food needs. Can I still attend the conference?

Yes! You are welcome to bring any food items and dietary supplements that you require. A microwave will be available for your use.

Are nursing babies permitted to attend?

No. Unfortunately, because our accommodations are based on double occupancy and we record our sessions,  we can’t allow babies to attend. (This is a policy stated by our venue)

Is there shuttle service available?

The Wilds provides shuttle service to the Asheville, NC airport. For rates and shuttle times, please call the camp office at (828) 884-7811 PRIOR to booking your flight. Shuttle reservations must be made at least one week in advance.
